Does anyone know how much a new addition can affect the other dog? Kali has peed on the landing and the other night, actually sat by my feet on a cushion and peed in front of me! :074: I was telling Karen her breeder and apparently Phoebe (Kali's sister) did the same thing..... on the landing too! We are not fussing one more than the other and she is not ill. Is it a dirty protest do you think? :076:

Ooh naughty Kali, perhaps she's just trying her luck! Hope she doesn't do it again! :045:

Little monkey :045:

Have to say not sure about dogs....but nearly a year ago we 'rescued' an ex-breeding stud cat from the cat equivilant of a puppy farm near us (I see in the local papers that they are now selling puppies as well as 'registered kennel club breeders' :056:)

Anyway he was an absolute sweet heart, but my 2 female cats just wouldn't accept him and we ended up with cat pee/spray everywhere. After a few months it became too much as they were still ganging up on him, and I was spending every evening cleaning up cat pee, so we rehomed him to a friend where he is now very happy. At least we got him away from the conditions he was in, got his teeth sorted and got some weight on him.

We're still suffering the fall out though with my male cat spraying occasionally on walls >(

Sorry for digressing a tad :076: but it may be a territorial thing as little Lyla matures.....? One key thing is to watch what you clean it with as certain cleaners encourage further peeing in the same spot....do a search for Urine-off or Petfresh (same product) as this kills the enzymes that cause the smell.

Awwww bless her little furry feet......I'm sure in her head there is a really good reason but short of getting her a voice for Xmas you may remain in the dark.

I know it is a long shot but if you DO get sick of her at any point I happen to know a home....not so far away...that is smit by the wee madam. :053::053::053:
