Nero is exactly the same iv always fed him dried food but all of a sudden he refused to eat. this went on for 3 days. i have always mixed his food with a tin of sardines on wed and sat. so low and behold dinner gone in a flash on sat. then meals refused in between so stupid me started to add some grated cheese, a slice of ham, a scrambled egg or some white fish to every meal.
now I'm stuck with it!

There are loads of good kibbles around. All depends on what you want from the food. I wanted something I knew to be totally holistic and approved by the British Holistic Association. I found it with Robbies Lamb and Luaths. My two get Luaths in the morning and Robbies at night. Robbies is a dried food full of herbs that you soak with hot water for ten minutes. Kali and Holly go berserk for it. You don't have to mix the two (Luaths and Robbies) that is just what I choose to do. Don't be put off by the price of the Robbies. I use only a small cup for Kali because it expands so much and it works out the same as any other and you know they are not getting rubbish. Just my personal choice though, as I said :044:

iv never heard of robbies or luaths i looked at burns, but choose jwb because it had a chicken and rice which came recommended for skin problems (nero has dermititis) thats why im trying to stick with it.

you bet they will lol!
i spent a lot of time on col reading about various foods and got pretty snobbie about it all.
im sure lidl food is fine and they are just bored. my parents fed their dogs chappy and we never lost one under 16yrs they were always fit and healthy. unlike nero who has always been fed the best most expensive food i can afford and has still suffered a number of health problems.

I try to steer clear of anything that has the words 'meat derivatives' in it. If I wanted them to eat lips and eyelashes and arseh*oles I would wait outside the abbatoir! I used to feed Burns until I realised that only they called it holistic but it wasn't approved by any society. It is probably just me being anal but I really believe that if you put crap into them, then they suffer for it somewhere downstream, just like humans.:076:

I changed food a couple of times and fern would just eat real slow (OMG :045: I just realised I typed that r e a l s l o w :045: )
I have put them back on Autarky and she is eager to eat her food again :044:
I think it depends on what your dog likes - just like us humans we all have different tastes

I've been thinking the same about my girls dinner recently. They've always had dry kibble, but with Penny being ill recently we've added to it with things to make it more appetising. Now they all get a tablespoon of JWB pouch food on the top!
That said, Rox and Rio don't really need their dinners making any more appealing, they bolt it whole as it is!! :056: Its gone in literally 10 seconds! You'd think they'd make the most of it as they've been waiting all day for it!!!

Having Labs I dont have this problem they eat anything :006: Sweepie however loves Arden grange even though she eats it one bit at a time :017: She loves the raw diet and takes a week to chew through a chicken wing or raw meat (you should see her with a heart) :016: She is also a top fan of chappie :074::064:

Mali will eat her AG food more readily if I put it in an empty egg carton or scatter it on the floor.
I'm so happy I bought her the Chow Bella bowls!
